Light Blue 2022.1.1 release notes
We’ve just released Light Blue 2022.1.1, which is a minor update that adds new features and fixes bugs reported since we launched Light Blue 2022.1. It includes the following changes:
- Client portal emails that use email templates (i.e. scheduling calendar booking confirmation, rescheduled, and cancellation emails; online invoice payment receipt and reminder emails) now have your selected email signature automatically appended to them.
- Added a “Copy This Record’s Unique Email Address” command to the Edit menu, with a Cmd/Ctrl-Shift-c keyboard shortcut.
- Entering a session, time off, or calendar note where the the end date is set but the start date is blank will now set the start date to match the end date.
- Curly quotes are now automatically replaced with straight quotes when editing a text message or text message template, to avoid automatic curly quotes from making messages send as Unicode.
- The cash basis version of tax reports now includes a payment date column as well as the invoice/purchase date columns.
- Added an explanation of why the export records command isn’t working when no records are selected.
- Added more Google Calendar API rate limit handling.
- Scheduling calendars that make all-day bookings now show the “select” button automatically because your client isn’t selecting from a list of times.
- If a client pays the booking fee for an online booking after the booking has expired (e.g. because they sat on the PayPal website for more than 15 minutes), you now receive an email notifying you that this happened so that you can contact the client to either accept their booking or arrange a refund.
- Incomplete bookings shown in the scheduling calendar availability preview now include an explanation that they will be automatically removed if not completed within 15 minutes.
- Fixed a bug that caused the spellchecker in our HTML editors to not work on Windows.
- Fixed a bug where mail-merging particular tags from an invalid context (e.g. some sale tags when merging from a shoot) did not remove the tag.
- Fixed a bug that prevented some mail-merge tags from working in online invoice payment emails.
- Fixed a bug that caused the %EventEnd% mail-merge tag to not work in server-side mail-merges.
- Fixed a bug where Print/Send button was inactive in List View if there are records in the found set but no record is selected.
- Fixed a bug that affected the layout of the Appointment dialog if you don’t have any Resources set up in your Light Blue account.
- Fixed a rare database error that could occur when importing an email via our deprecated “Import from Mail/Outlook” feature if the email includes a lot of To or CC addresses.
- Fixed a bug where forwarding an email containing attachments that use illegal characters in their filenames to your @lightbluecustomermail.com email address would not get processed and saved to your account.
- Fixed a bug processing scheduling calendar booking forms that ask for a contact website.
- Fixed a bug where the “Linked Records” panel where the undiscounted net total would be displayed for quotes and sales if the “Tax Inclusive” default is set to off.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when deleting the start date from scheduling calendar additional availability and blocking.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when trying to export records when no records are selected.
- Fixed a crash that can occur when editing an appointment that’s been duplicated from an online booking.
- Fixed a crash that can occur when selecting a label printer on Windows when no printers are set up in Windows.
