Our Android app is available in the Google Play Store!
We’re delighted to announce that our Android app has been approved for the Google Play Store 🎉
The feedback from our prerelease testers has been great so, now that it’s available via the Play Store, we’re inviting everyone who’s said they want to start using our Android app as soon as possible to try it out.
Out of an abundance of caution, we’re still treating our app as “prerelease” until we’ve had a chance to move all of our testers over to using the Play Store version. This will give us a chance to learn how to deal with any quirks that the Play Store has while we fix any more bugs that any of you find.
If you’d like to start using our Android app now, you can download it from the Play Store by clicking this link. You’ll need an active Light Blue subscription (or trial account) and at least one free device slot for the app, so please get in touch with us if you’ve got any questions about getting started with it.
We’re very keen to hear your initial feedback as soon as possible, so please let us know as soon as you’ve had a chance to install the app, download your data, and try it out. If you spot any problems, please email us to tell us how we can replicate it so that we can fix it for you ASAP.
To preempt any feedback you might have about things that we already know about, here are a few things to bear in mind:
- The app is designed for phones. You should be able to use it on a tablet, but the layout is optimised for phones.
- Sending emails is done via your phone’s default email app. This limitation applies to our iOS app too, but we’re planning to add a built-in email editor and sending feature in a future version of our mobile app.
- Documents aren’t available in our mobile app yet. This limitation applies to our iOS app too, but we’re planning to add this feature in a future version.
